Buyers only see what’s actually available to them

Providers aren’t chosen by city or ZIP code. What a buyer sees at a given address is narrowed down through three filters, in order:

  1. Our partner network. We hold direct commercial relationships with two dozen national internet providers. A provider outside that network can’t be shown.
  2. Serviceability at the address. We check what can genuinely be delivered at that exact property, usually one to five options. This varies more than people expect and it’s common for a provider to serve one side of a street and not the other.
  3. Any agreement you already have. An exclusive marketing agreement, a preferred provider, or internet included in HOA fees takes precedence over the standard marketplace.

Electricity and insurance follow similar logic, and both vary by state regulation. A member of our team can walk through specifics for your markets.

How revenue share works

  • You receive 10% of the referral fee Realpage is paid when a buyer completes a qualifying purchase. The purchase relationship is between the buyer and the provider, not you and not Realpage.
  • Qualifying means the provider pays a referral fee on a completed order, currently internet, electricity in deregulated markets, moving and furniture rental. Insurance and standard utility setup don’t generate a fee, regardless of how many options a buyer saw.
  • Payments are quarterly, to one designated bank account per management company. Deposits appear as Realpage, Inc.
  • Every payment comes with a Revenue Share Remittance Statement, itemized by property or HOA, so your accounting team can attribute it across the portfolio.
What’s next

A move-in checklist for HOAs

We’re building on this foundation with a move-in checklist covering FOB registration, pet registration, and community rules and regulations. More details to come.

Do we need to do anything to turn this on?

No. Buyer Verification is live as part of your existing HomeWiseDocs service. There is no setup process.

Is there a cost to us or to the buyer?

No, Buyer Verification is included in your existing HomeWiseDocs fee structure, and buyers only pay for optional services they actively choose to purchase.

How did you decide which services and providers to offer?

We looked for the parts of moving that are the most painful and most practical rather than promotional: internet, utilities, moving, furniture rental and insurance quotes. Specific providers shown to buyers depends on our partner network, real serviceability at their address, and any agreements you have in place.

What counts as a “qualifying” service for revenue share?

A service qualifies when a buyer completes a purchase and the provider pays Realpage a referral fee, currently including internet, electricity (where deregulated), moving and furniture rental. It has nothing to do with how many options were shown. Insurance and standard utility setup do not generate a fee.

When will revenue share payments begin?

Revenue share payments start processing in 2027, beginning the quarter following submission of verified banking information. Revenue share accrual began in January 2026 in conjunction with the service launch.

How does revenue share accrual work?

Accrual began in January 2026, with the service launch. A service qualifies for revenue share when a buyer completes a purchase and the provider pays Realpage a referral fee.

How do I confirm my details for revenue share payouts?

Please submit the following documents to our secure document repository. Include W9, validated banking information, and contact information (name, email, phone, title, company) of statement recipient. Please submit each document using the following file naming convention: Company Name_HWD Account ID_Name of Document

Where can I view our Buyer Verification Reports?

Buyer Verification reports are available in HomeWiseDocs under Reports > Buyer Verification Report.

Who owns the buyer data, and how long is it kept?

HomeWiseDocs is a data processor. This means we do not market to Buyer Verification end users (your Buyer), we do not own or control their data, we do not sell, and we do not pass it to third parties under any circumstances. The data belongs to you and the buyer providing the information. Buyers keep access to the verification portal for 30 days past their expected move-in date. If a transaction is cancelled, the information collected is securely deleted.

Can we turn off move-in services but keep Buyer Verification?

Yes. Verification and move-in services are independent layers, and either can be adjusted at any time by email our support team at [per Toby, create an email that routes to move team].

Why is this powered by LOFT?

HomeWiseDocs and LOFT are both Realpage businesses. LOFT is the resident-facing application built to engage movers and provides the buyer-facing layer here, while HomeWiseDocs remains the business-facing side you work with.
